The Parish Administration/Finance Committee is organized according to Canon 537 of the Code of Canon Law, which mandates that each parish have a Finance Council. It is a consultative body responsible for the review, analysis and development of all financial matters that affect the life and mission of the parish.
Accordingly, the Committee meets monthly to review financial reports, proposed expenditures, contracts etc.
The Committee submits an annual Budget and Report to the Bishop. The Pastor is responsible for the financial administration of the parish, but with the ongoing consultation and recommendations of the Finance Committee.
The Chairperson of the Finance Committee is appointed by the Pastor and also serves as a Chairperson on the Parish Pastoral Council.
