The Marriage Prep Program encourages the engaged couples of our parish to fully respond to God’s call to a Catholic marriage.  Our committee is formed by Team Couples (married parishioners) who share their experience of marriage with the engaged couples.  

These Marriage Prep sessions are held in the Team Couple’s home where the sacrament is lived.  The Team Couple works from a guidebook titled “Evening for the Engaged”.  A Bible and workbook are given to the engaged couples to help them discover more about each other through thought provoking questions. Three sessions, approximately 2-3 hours each are scheduled each month, and the cost is $15 per couple.  

The Marriage Prep Committee meets once a year to establish our calendar.  Engaged couples are given a letter with information about our program upon their visit with the priest.  They are encouraged to contact the Chairperson and schedule their sessions at least 6 months before their wedding.  

The Chairperson also lists all upcoming weddings from the logbook in the rectory and phones those who have not  yet scheduled.  The Chairperson sends the Team Couples a list of engaged couples they will be hosting during their scheduled month’s sessions.  A registration form completed at the session is returned to the rectory along with the $15 fee as proof of completion of the Marriage Prep program.
