along with Msgr. Rhodes
will sponsor a
Pilgrimage to
Villa Maria Teresa (Oblates),
50 Warner Road,
Hubbard, Ohio
on
Monday,
July 13, 2009.
The cost will be $15.00
per person.

This will cover the cost of the luncheon. We will car pool from the parking lot
across from the church, leaving at 9:15am.

The Holy Name Society is collecting items to be shipped to our military
men
and women deployed overseas.
If you would like to donate an item, please take a list from the back of the church next
to the collection box or click below for a list of suggested/needed items.
The Holy Name Society will collect the items until Sunday, July 19th,
and then will have them shipped to our troops.

CALLING ALL PAST CELEBRATORS!
SAVE THE DATE…
2009 marks the 10th year that CELEBRATE has been
a part of St. Christine’s Youth Ministry.
Since its beginning, 234 high school juniors
and seniors have taken part in the program,
“Celebrating” God’s love throughout the year and
at our amazing yearly retreat.
To mark the occasion we are planning a special
Celebrate Reunion for anyone who made Celebrate
at St. Christine in the past 10 years.
It will be held on Sunday, August 2 at Fair Park in Canfield.

Kindergarten and New Student Registration
Saint Christine School has started accepting Kindergarten registration
for the 2009/2010 School Year.
Registration will continue until classes are full.
Registration packets are available
at the school office.

The following materials are needed at the
time of registration: |
- Form from Parish Office, stating parishioner status
(kindly stop at Parish Office first--9:00am-4:00pm)
- Baptismal Certificate (if not baptized at Saint Christine)
- Immunization Records
- Social Security Number
- All Registration Forms found in packet
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- $25 Registration Fee (non-refundable)
- Copies of records from previous school (gr. 1-8 only).
- One of the forms you will complete will release all records from the previous school.

| SAINT CHRISTINE 2009 DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD |
|
Congratulations to Mark Stephen Kiraly
of Boardman, Ohio who was selected for
the Saint Christine Distinguished Alumni Award for 2009.
Mark graduated from St. Christine School in 1979 and went
on to graduate from Cardinal Mooney High
School in 1983.
Upon receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from
Youngstown State University, he went to work for GBS Computers
where he presently serves as the the Director of Client Services.
In 1991, he married Kathy Simonsin. They are the proud parents of two sons
and two daughters. Mark, the oldest attends Cardinal Mooney High School.
Erin, Emily and Michael attend St. Christine School.
Mark is a lifelong member of St. Christine Parish, shares his time and talents
in many parish events. He is the son of George and Dorothy Kiraly,
also members of St. Christine Parish

Contributions are automatically
taken
from your account
and
deposited into the
parish’s account
at Farmers
National Bank.
Authorization forms are available
in the vestibules.
Simply take one,
fill it out, and return it to the parish office.
Your contribution will be deposited
to the
Saint Christine Account
weekly or monthly,
as you
desire.
You will be given
credit at the parish.
You will not need to use an
envelope,
but if you wish to,
you simply write
on the envelope “give electronically”
and drop
it in the collection
basket.

MINISTRY CORNER |
|
|
| |
GARDENING MINISTRY is intended to enhance the exterior
of the Church by doing seasonal, annual flowers, perennial and bulb plantings, weeding and watering and general beautification of the Church grounds. Our ministry is active from May to October. Each week we ask one family to volunteer for watering and weeding the flower beds.
Several times a season we try to have a general clean-up day for the flower beds and potted plants.

Buy your grocery, gas, restaurant and store
gift cards through our Saint Christine Scrip Program
and make money for our school without
spending
an additional penny!
For those of you who don’t know how this program
works
, here is an example: You buy a $25.00 Giant Eagle gift
card - you receive a $25.00 gift card - it’s that simple!
It works this way with any gift cards you purchase,
and it costs you nothing more. We have many
different gift cards, and the profit we make is anywhere
from 2% - 18%!!!
This is an ongoing fundraiser at Saint Christine, and
although it is not mandatory, we are hoping everyone
will try this program and realize
how simple it really is!
Gift cards can be purchased every day at the school office during school hours. Scrip is sold every week after the
4:00 Mass on Saturday and after the 9:00 and 10:30
Masses on Sunday in
the rear vestibule of the church,
facing Schenley Avenue.
